How can I participate?

  • Visit the platform (yay, here you are!) and check out highlights from the previous years. See how our community’s actions are making a difference, explore entries on the digital map, and discover both the challenges we face and the actions we have taken.

  • Show your community what we have achieved together. Share the posts, graphics, and stories we have prepared for you in the media pack on your social media channels. Use #ICCD2026 and #FromChallengeToChang to celebrate our collective impact far and wide.

  • Fill the form to commit to taking one step next year toward helping achieve equal access to care, and let us know where you will be focusing on. Fill in the printable letter (kids and grown-ups alike!) to describe what equal access to care should look like in 50 years. Email or mail it back to us and stand with the community in imagining a better future. Help us create a global picture of what childhood cancer care should be in the years to come.

  • Reach out to your networks, organisations, and local policymakers to show what is possible when we unite. Use the press release and share the campaign results to inspire others to join the movement for equal access to care for children with cancer.

PARTICIPATE!

What’s the aim of the campaign?

  • Our goal is to highlight the impact of the childhood cancer community through our actions. Together, we are showing how the challenges we identified are being transformed into real change, moving us closer to our common goal: equal access to care for every child with cancer. It is also a chance to look back at how far we have come, understand where more focus is needed, and look forward to what we can achieve when we keep working side by side. This year, you can also make a personal commitment by pledging one step you will take in the next year to tackle inequalities in a specific area, a personal promise toward advancing equal access to care.

  • Patients, parents, survivors, patient advocates and representatives, CCI and SIOP members, organisations, healthcare professionals, policy- and decision makers as well as the general public.

  • Here on this platform, you will find ready-to-use posts and graphics to share on your social media to share awareness during the International Childhood Cancer Day 2026. Fill the form to make a personal pledge by committing to one step you will take in the next year to tackle inequalities in a specific area, contributing to equal access to care. You will also find a printable letter you can fill in with your vision of what equal access to care should look like 20 years from now. Send it back to us by email or mail, and together we will build a collection that shows what a future where every child with cancer has equal access to care should be.

  • By the end of the campaign, we want to show how the childhood community is responding to the challenges we face, and how we are driving solutions. This campaign is about supporting advocacy, amplifying voices, sparking action, and showing what is possible when we all work for equal access to care in local, regional, and global levels. We also aim to encourage people to actively commit to taking the first step toward equal access to care within the year, creating meaningful changes that can ripple across the world.
